Queensland's East Coast Road Trip

The unforgettable road trips on Australia's East Coast.

Waterfall Way

We slept at Mann River Reserve nice and free campsite.
Not all the falls had water flowing but Ebor Falls is a very nice place with free camping nearby.

Ellenborough Falls

After a long drive on a dirt road, we arrived at the falls and they were stunning!
You can hike down to the bottom and have a swim.
There is also a kiosk for some refreshments.

Uralla

We stopped off at The Alternate Root cafe for breakfast and a coffee. mmm yum.

Port Macquarie

Coffee at the beach and ocean walk and the Sealy Lookout around sunset.

Crescent Head

self built campervan

We only stopped for the morning but should have stayed longer...
It's a great little surf town with a relaxing and chill vibe. We could stay for months. We sat down, had a coffee, and watch the surfers!

Coffs Harbour

We went for a walk to the Forest Sky Pier lookout.

Hat Head National Park

It cost us 20 dollars for one night's stay but it was a really nice camping place directly at the beach only divided by the sand dunes. What a beautiful place to watch the sunset.

Yamba

Have a swim in the rockpool at the main beach in the morning while the sun comes up! Head to one of the cafes for a good breakfast and a coffee.
Spent the rest of the morning day looking at all the cute little shops.
Went to the blue and green rockpools. Watched the sunset and ate at Barbaresco.

We skipped the popular Byron Bay and went straight to Brunswick instead.

Brunswick Heads

We slept at the nearby pub.
Hire a surfboard for the morning.
Revive while drinking coffee.
Chill out at the beach and walk down the pier to spot some dolphins.
Do some shopping.
Go to the picture house.

Lamington National Park

Stay at the Green Mountains Campground - hot showers! Took us some time to find them. Morans Falls for sunset. Tree Top Walk and Box Forest Circuit. Finish off with a coffee at O'reilly's.

We continued on our journey via the Great Sandy National Park, Noosa Heads, and Cape Hillsborough with a few stops along the way...
