Shannon Falls & Vision Falls

Location - Crater Lakes National Park, Far North Queensland, Australia
Difficulty - Grade 4
Distance - 200 metres return
Time - allow 20 to 50 minutes return

Vision Falls & Shannon Falls are located in Wright Creek in the rainforest near Lake Eacham in the Tablelands region of Far North Queensland.

How to get there

To reach the falls, park your car at the bollards and follow Wrights Creek Road until you reach a small bridge. From there, the track on your right follows the sign. A short 300m walk will take you over a bridge and above a small cascade and then to Vision Falls.

Once you reach Vision Falls, you can hike further downstream of the creek along an old and forgotten track to reach Shannon Falls. It looks well constructed like it was an official national park track at some point.

Along the way, you will go under the bitumen bridge, and you can see a waterfall of Ferntree Creek.

The trail is a beautiful walk through the rainforest.
