Mount Hypipamee National Park

Located in the Hugh Nelson Range, this park is home to a diatreme, or volcanic pipe, believed to have been formed by a gas explosion. A 400 meter walking track leads to a platform with a view of the crater, which is almost 70 meters wide and has sheer granite walls. The park also boasts a variety of vegetation, including high-altitude rainforest, and is home to several species of possums. It's a great place to spot high-altitude birds.
