It is mostly a fairly dull creek with Fig Tree Falls, when in flow, being the highlight.

The best parts of Insulator Creek can be accessed via the Bamabroo Track. Fig Tree Falls is 100 metres upstream and Insulator Falls & Gorge is 150 metres downstream.

If accessing Insulator Creek from the highway, prior permission is needed by the private property.
