Mount Inkerman, also known as Inkerman Hill, rises to 219 metres above the flat land of Inkerman. It is a ten minute (11 kilometres) drive from Home Hill and an hour and 30 minutes (110 kilometres) drive from Townsville and is well-known for the scenic lookout which offers breathtaking panoramic views of Deep Lagoon, Washpool Lagoon, and the Burdekin Region. Alma Creek and Mount Alma (104 m) are also located nearby.
Read more about its significance to local indigenous tribes on the information boards, enjoy the bbq facilities/shelters, toilets, as well as the convenient parking at the top and bottom. The track is dog-friendly and family-friendly and starts near the Inkerman Shop where you can park your vehicle.
