Eungella National Park

Located about 80 kilometres west of Mackay high above the surrounding plains, Eungella, meaning "Land of the clouds"), is a misty and dense rainforest covered national park and is one of Queensland’s most ecologically diverse parks. It is known for its platypuses and considered to be the longest continuous stretches of sub-tropical rainforest in Australia. The Traditional Owners are the Wirri people.
