Peak Range National Park

Peak Range National Park is located in the Brigalow Belt bioregion and is home to two rare, threatened plant species and two animal species that have been identified in the park. The area is also known as the Peak Downs Range before the shires were amalgamated.

Wolfang Peak is an intrusive volcanic plug of rhyolite and trachyte and shows the path of flow of basalt lavas on the Briagalow belt Bio Region.

Lord's Table Mountain and Anvil Peak are distinctive peaks centrally located in Peak Range National Park. These impressive peaks have a 320-metre high flat-topped plateau and provide grand views across the landscape, ideal for sunsets and astrophotography.

Mount Pollux & Mount Castor, The Gemini Mountains

Mount Castor and Mount Pollux form the Gemini Mountains. These Gemini Peaks are 30 million years old ancient volcanic plugs of rhyolite sticking out of the open eucalypt woodland, flat countryside and are part of the Peak Range National Park.
