Alligator Creek Valley

Alligator Creek flows through the valley in a series of cascades, deep pools and waterfalls. Alligator Creek is approx 20 kilometres south-east of Townsville. It is bounded on the north by the Bruce Highway and Bowling Green Bay National Park is to the immediate south-east. A portion of Mount Elliot was gazetted as national park in 1940 and the Alligator Creek area was added in 1967.

The Sisters Mountains

The Sisters Mountains are located in northeast Australia, just south of Townsville and Elliot Springs and actually consist of three peaks, the West (425 m), Middle (429 m), and East (422 m) Sisters. The three sisters and the main ridgeline provide some of the best views across Townsville.

Cockatoo Creek is another classic rock hop bush walk with beautiful pools, cascades galore. The length of the creeks is often done as a through walk with Majors Creek. Points of interest include Nooks memorial and Cockatoo Rock.
