Bowling Green Bay National Park is just south of Townsville and is on the southern border of the Wet Tropics bioregion. Most of the National Park mountain range is covered in rainforest and several creeks run from its slopes. To the Eastern side of the National Park is Cape Cleveland which is home to sandy beaches, ocean cliffs and mangrove covered estuaries.
